Hi, I’m Kay Barker, and I hear it a lot from prospective students: “I’m not sure if I’ll be good at it.” If you’ve ever felt that way, you’re not alone—but I’m here to tell you, it’s absolutely normal, and we’ll help you overcome it.

The truth is, everyone feels like a beginner when they start something new. But the beauty of piano is that progress happens quickly when you have the right support. Our Accelerated Piano Lab is designed to help you see results, even in the first few lessons. Those little wins build your confidence and keep you motivated.

Another common fear is “What if I don’t have time to practice?” Life gets busy, and that’s okay. Practice time in built right in to our Accelerated Piano Labs. And because quality matters more than quantity, having your teacher right there in class to double-check your efforts and keep you on track makes that practicing super efficient.

Finally, remember that mistakes are part of learning. Every wrong note is a clue to how to improve next time. In our classes, there’s no pressure to be perfect—just a shared commitment to getting better together.

Starting piano isn’t about being perfect; it’s about having fun and discovering what you’re capable of. Take that first step—it’s easier than you think!
