An avid writer and composer, Strickler recently won third place on Film Columbus’s “Stuck at Home” Short Film Soundtrack Contest.  He is currently producing his debut solo project release, a yet to be named exploration of the sonic spaces between electronic production and live musicians.

Outside of writing and performing, Strickler is an educator for students young and old, giving both clinics and masterclasses and teaching private lessons. Strickler has studied with top musicians from a wide range of genres, including Vic Juris (NYC-based jazz guitarist), Justin Raines (bassist for gospel star Israel Houghton), John Belzaguy (bassist with latin jazz trumpet player Arturo Sandoval), Sandy Beales (bassist for One Direction), Roger Hines (bassist for Ray Charles) and Dr. Lou Fischer.
