Sophia Danchine

Pianist Sophia Danchine has been playing her favorite instrument, piano, since the age of 5. She also gained a passion for vocal music by joining her high school choir, DJHS choir, that competed in state competitions. At Denison University, she gained a BA in Music through working closely alongside her piano professor, Dr. Sun Min Kim, with whom she advanced her skills and technique in piano performance and technique. At Denison, she engaged in classes with other musicians, such as chamber music and vocal & piano duos. She has been awarded numerous Music department awards, such as the most promising piano student award. She has been teaching a variety of voice and piano students of various ages for over a year, and has been instructing her younger sister in piano and voice for the past 5 years. Sophia is dedicated to providing a rewarding & insightful learning environment for her students, inspiring them to enjoy learning music while also building discipline and growth in their musical journeys.
