Jon O’Brien is the music technology teacher and assistant marching band director for South-Euclid Lyndhurst Schools. Jon enjoys teaching all levels and all genres of music, with a focus on creativity through composition, arranging, improvisation, and application of music theory.

Jon graduated CWRU with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education in 2020. During his studies, Jon directed the CWRU saxophone ensemble and Footlighters pit orchestra, student taught elementary general music through high school band, and performed with Symphonic Winds, Klezmer Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Glee Club, and the CIM Orchestra. Jon was a featured soloist with the Case University Circle Symphonic Orchestra, after winning the 2019 CWRU Concerto Competition. Jon also actively performed with community ensembles, and taught students of all levels through programs such as Joyful Noise and Music Lens.
