Jiachen Li

Jiachen was born in Sichuan, China. His parents detected his talent for music when he was 7 years old. In 2010 he began to study piano performance under Prof. Wang Mai. Jiachen Li was admitted to the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in 2013, where he focused on expanding his repertoire, and continuing his education in piano performance and music theory. In 2017, he received his Bachelor’s degree from Sichuan Conservatory of Music (China), where he studied with Prof. Wang Mai. After graduating from SCCM, Jiachen came to Bowling Green State University (U.S) where, under the guidance of Dr. Thomas Rosenkranz and Dr. Solungga Liu, he continued studying piano performance. Jiachen is currently pursuing his master’s degree at Cleveland State University under the principle keyboardist of the Cleveland Orchestra, Ms. Joela Jones, and Grammy winner, Dr. Angelin Chang. He received a full scholarship and the Joan Terri Ronis award as a graduate assistant.
