About Us How Lessons Work

How Our Lessons Work

Lessons are weekly 30 minute one-on-one sessions with a teacher specifically matched to you or your child based on your experience and goals. We have programs designed to introduce young students to music, to help middle and high school students succeed in juries and competitions, or even help professionals hone their craft. 1. The First Step

The first step is to introduce yourself and help us get to know you. You can do that by filling out this form or calling us at 614.407.8740. We’ll talk briefly about your story and what you want to achieve and then we’ll schedule an assessment lesson.

2. The Assessment

The first lesson is a 60 minute assessment lesson, or 30 minutes for younger students. At the assessment, you’ll meet your teacher who will go over your goals and abilities and develop a personal curriculum for you. We know that your relationship with your teacher is the most important thing about lessons and we work hard to make sure it’s right from the beginning.

3. Ongoing Lessons

After the assessment, you’ll sign up for ongoing weekly lessons. Most are 30 minutes, but some students do 45 minute or hour long lessons. All lessons are on the same day and time each week.

Quarter Dates and Tuition

We operate on a schedule of quarters built around holidays, spring break and summer vacation. Every student commits to a quarter of lessons, billed in monthly installments. You can start at any time – we’ll just prorate the remaining weeks in the quarter!
